Dedication of our 23rd home
|
Built with love for
the
Doski Family
134 Mary St., Binghamton, was on Saturday, August 2, 2008. The United Methodist Churches of Broome County joined forces to help fund the construction of the South Side home. To date, twenty-one of those congregations have raised about $40,000, and some have come on site to help with the actual construction. The Doski family is very excited to leave their over crowed apartment, and move into this simple, decent, and quality constructed home. What fine craftsmanship, thanks to our caring volunteers!

House #22
dedicated |
But Family’s House Dedicated I n the spring of 2004, the interior of a large, six bedroom house on Binghamton’s Northside was completely destroyed by hot water that burst from a broken pipe. The owners, not wanting to invest the time or money to renovate, donated the house to Broome County Habitat. The house has been completely rehabilitated by our many volunteers and sold to a couple and their ten children. This house will not only provide an affordable housing opportunity for a family, but transform a dilapidated, vacant property into a house that is back on the local tax roll. While on its way to give a concert at Binghamton’s First Congregational Church, the “Bubble” stopped by our Linden St. house to learned how our work makes a better world. To see video of our Wednesday Crew sharing their thoughts, visit www.youtube.com & search “peace bubble habitat ”. |

House #21 dedicated in Endwell |
"A Family Gets a Home for the Holidays"
Local government officials
joined Broome County Habitat for Humanity as
they dedicated their 21st home in Broome County, their first in Endwell . The house,
donated by the Shute Family, was once a chiropractic
office.
With
the help of its volunteers, Habitat completely gutted the house,
renovated it, and sold it to a couple and their two
children. They are in the home just in time for the
holidays!
